Lee Joon revealed that he had received the casting offer to star in the year 2009 KBS2 hit series drama 'Boys Over Flowers'. Before the drama was filmed, Lee Joon had cast in the movie 'Ninja Assassin' where he was bald for his character role at that time. Due to the fact that he was bald & there wasn't sufficient time to grow his hair back (to suit the pretty boy's hairstyle) in time for Boys Over Flowers' filming, he had to reject the casting offers.

Hallyu Star Kim Hyun Joong has been selected to be a model for the Japanese cosmetics brand.
According to the Japanese sports newspaper, Sankei Sports, on 23th, singer and actor Kim Hyun Joong, who was a former member of SS501, has become a TV advertisement model for the aesthetic brand, ‘Silm Beauty House’.

By LazerKim: We have met Kim Hyun Joong in different episodes of his career. Some of you must have met him way back when he was still with his group SS501, some must have watched him first at the airing of Boys Over Flower or Playful Kiss, and some from the launching of Breakdown and Lucky Guy as his first two albums as solo performer. Which ever episode of his career that we first met him, each one of us has a story to tell on how we started to get crazy about Hyun Joong.

It’s so amazing to think of it, Hyun Joong and his fans has a strong bond that stick together no matter what, specially those who have met him during his SS501 days. Many of his fan network who had started as strangers to each other had build strong friendship because of Hyun Joong. And some may have started to dig for information on who Kim Hyun Joong really is in real life.

So how did you meet him? How was he able to capture your attention? Do you feel much closer to him after knowing more about him? Have you reached the point of being addicted to Hyun Joong that you wanted more from his music, drama or TV appearances? Do you seek for ways on how you’ll know more about him, and while doing so the closer you get to him?These are just but natural to be starstruck, let’s share our experiences about Hyun Joong and compare notes on how we started to go crazy about the guy. I’m sure we’re on the same boat, but had embarked from different ways.

Do you remember the flower boy at Boy Over Flower, Yoon Ji Hoo? You rarely see this boy’s image nowadays because he had already outgrown that image. I first saw Hyun Joong at Boys Over Flower, in fact I don’t even know his real name, but I fell in love with the character of Yoon Ji Hoo, a very handsome rich high school boy who’s soft spoken, gentle, protective, withdrawn from the real world and lonely. Back then I was more interested on the plot of the drama rather than the actors. But he’s one actor that I check on from time to time.

After BOF the next thing I read about Hyun Joong was when he switched agent to KeyEast in 2010 owned by my first favorite Korean actor Bae Yong Joon. That was the only time I knew his name was Kim Hyun Joong and that his first project under KeyEast was Playful Kiss.On my birthday as I was browsing You Tube I saw this photo……

The caption says “Kim Hyun Joong Break Down”…….oh no this couldn’t be him!!! I started watching the video of Breakdown but I still couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched this guy in black short hair, well developed muscle in black leather suit and dark glasses. I searched more videos of Breakdown and other latest videos of Hyun Joong from 4pm till dawn at 5am straight up.I was burning with curiosity searching for that flower boy I have known from BOF, and started asking myself what happen to him, where did that flower boy gone?

From that day onward I research on Hyun Joong’s history and background, I went over with all the videos I can find at You Tube, in short I was totally glued on him. Until such time I tried finding ways to get information about him further and I came to discover Twitter, Blogs in getting updates, news articles and fan’s post all about Hyun Joong. The You Tube and Hyunnies Pexer’s blog became my best friend as a way for me to connect with Hyun Joong. The days that I couldn’t get anything to read or watch became boring for me! I go over Hyun Joong’s TV appearances, talk shows, whatever I had in my file about him, I watched it over and over. Apparently I never get tired watching him specially his interviews which lead me to having personal knowledge about who Kim Hyun Joong really is.

How well now do I know Hyun Joong to fall for him like crazy? Well, Hyun Joong is blessed with perfect looks and he knows it, but never brag about it, on the contrary in a talk show Night after Night he admitted he still envy other actors for being handsome. He humbly embrace his weak points and work hard to improve. He never pretend to be someone he’s not.

He seldom smile specially to strangers or being in strange place. He seem to be like an aristocratic snob but he can easily give in to the smile of others. He’s candidly honest about anything, he’s transparent and would like his fans to accept him for what he really is, good or bad, that’s him. His 4D personality is the most interesting trait that he has, and anything he does even his own mistakes looks cute on him!!

And among other artists, I think he’s the only artist who constantly change his image from time to time, and when he does, as if you’re facing a totally different person. In short, he’s one unique individual that anything he wear clothes or hairstyle suits him perfectly. He has the power to transform himself in just a glimpse. He has the power to let you listen to him, the power to make you laugh, to make you cry and to make you fall in love with him in his most natural simple way.

There were also Hyun Joong’s detractors or critics and every time I read harsh comments about him I felt hurt. Can’t help to think if I as a fan gets hurt reading harsh comments about him, what more would Hyun Joong feels? Although I have considered him to be professionally matured in the industry that he’s gone used to criticism, but still, he’s just but a human being who can also get hurt.

I admire Hyun Joong’s fans, who go after his critics and defend him in a calm, matured, rational approach. I don’t belong to any KHJ’s fan club but I’m proud of them and proud to be one behind the scene as a fan. Oh yes, I remember Hyun Joong guested at a talk show Lee Sora and she commented about KHJ’s fans to be well behave which I agree. The fans do cheer for Hyun Joong but they know their limitations and strictly follow.

Looking at the entire picture between Kim Hyun Joong and his fans seem to have mutual respect with each other. I believe Hyun Joong has a soft spot in his heart that belongs only to his fans. I can remember how Hyun Joong broke down to tears during his SS501 last few concerts as he thank his fans for their support. Then another event was when the group accepted an award during their starting days, he broke down to tears that he can hardly speak to thank their fans. And the recent event as solo was in June 7, 2011 when he read his letter to his fans. What he had gone through must be tough but his fans remained supportive as ever. One statement was made by Lee Sora as his message to Kim Hyun Joong, translated as

“There is a way when all that one hears and sees can be possible when all the strength are combined together. So I sincerely believe that everything Kim Hyun Joong works hard for will come true to the degree that your fans collectively give that force and strength to you”.

This message was so inspiring and apparently it came true, because from the time Hyun Joong released his first two mini albums, he had been receiving awards from here and there, his fans were all busy voting at the polls, his albums selling like hotcakes and anything he touches or work on turns to magic success.

Many of us has been a part of Hyun Joong’s struggle and success, and again what drove you to be at his side? The time he was made to make a tough decision leaving his SS501 tag, you were at side sharing his tears of pain leaving his most precious friends. The time he was on struggle in doing solo which was not an easy challenge, you were there to spare him strength. You willingly take a bullet of criticism from his detractors and patiently defend him so as not to hurt him.

You were there to support him when the polls call for his votes, and all the time wherever he performs you’re there at the top of your voice cheering for him and when it’s time to harvest his awards, you were there to cheer for his ultimate truimph. As it became his and your struggle and success, it’s remarkably special relationship between Kim Hyun Joong and you, his fans. There will be another challenges Hyun Joong has to face this year 2012, will you still be there standing by his side?

We might have met Kim Hyun Joong in different episodes for his career life, there are a lot of memories he left in our heart, but one thing we always remember is how we first met him. I can only speak for myself, I have learned a lot because of Hyun Joong.

The first time I saw Kim Hyun Joong quotations in his photobooks, I thought they were there basically as photo verses , the typical embellishments of photography -from captions below to being embedded in the picture. Some observers call them proof of HJ 4Dness because they found phrases attributed to him as unusual, unexpected and witty repartees. But If you know Hyun Joong, these are more than just clever phrases. I realized these quotations are actually snippets of his honesty and courage as a young explorer of life. He looked at life like a journey and meant to travel it well. Life for him meant having been offered many conveniences and prescribed ways to succeed but he first choose to examine what life has to offer.

Hyun Joong ‘s young mind and body started the journey of self awareness. He examined the important events in his life. He valued how his childhood inspirations had guided him in giving shape to a previous amorphous or shapeless dream. He knew the importance of friendships and what he had to do to stand by it and to protect it. There was a point he had to deal with his inner demons, were his decisions right when he was at the edge of being an adult? Right or wrong, Failure or not , he felt it was best that it was an action that had to be made.

From his own pronouncements, he accomplished many of his objectives and moving on to achieve some more. Was there a dilemma along the way? There were, but he made his own adjustments, choices and eventually commitments. But more importantly he pursued its execution.

This is Kim Hyun Joong’s journey to the self. This is his direct experience of the self, who he is, and what he wants to be. How many young people can do a daring confrontation, to create their own template of where and how they want to go forward. To create their own pathway and not leave it to chance or right connection. Whatever resulted to also charge it to experience. Though he was into formal education he is also a graduate of the school of hard knocks where life’s negative experiences taught him more and gave him stronger armor to boot. The thing with Hyun Joong is he doesn’t deny it; he embraced it. In fact, he basked in its full glory. He even flaunts it.

His journey is not finished. It has just begun. There will be more choices and options to explore and more decisions to make. But from the looks of it his probing allowed him to see his purpose of life –the one that revolves around and fulfills his deepest yearnings –his music and his performances.

The life and the journey Hyun Joong makes is not all serious endeavor, even in his stature now as a Hallyu star he enjoys the freshness of the fruits in the market or the surprise find of a 1000 won in the elevator. He feels exhilarated by the wide field and the wind blowing away his sweat where a favorite sport is played. He finds the effects of travel revitalizing and liberating. Or reminished eating a sandwich in one hand while the other held a book. How about free to be one’s self drinking soju with bosom buddies? Ahhh, to be also enveloped by the clouds and use the grasses of the earth as one’s bed,Hyun Joong, smiling and loving life’s simple pleasures.

Now adulthood catches up –Hyun Joong looks ahead to his life events –having a family, perhaps eventually also moving out of his music comfort niche already mastered to more challenging fields. His journey would be a tapestry of brilliant hues woven from dreams, yet made real by a steady mind, loving yet hopeful heart and spirit that knows no limits.

By LazerKim: Breaking News….Kim Hyun Joong is currently in silent mode, that no one can reach him. Many of his fans are getting the most contagious germ of loneliness, boredom, gloomy, deserted ect……….. I’m sorry to startled you!!! and so this is it, this is a life without Kim Hyun Joong. And it’s no joke, it’s so contagious. Last night as I was writing an article somebody from KHJ fans just bat in, saying how dull life could be without Hyun Joong!! What else is there for me to say, it’s very true, it’s been 10 days since the last time I saw him at the airport but it feels like it’s been 10 years!!!

This feeling is very familiar, let’s talk about it. Last year I couldn’t remember the exact date but it was before he released his digital single, Marry Me, Hyun Joong was nowhere to be found until a photo of him together with Lyle Beniga’s (choreographer) dog was at the internet. He sneaked out from Korea that no one noticed!!! Do you remember that? It’s happening again. After Hyun Joong made a lot of noise in Japan, now it’s all silence, and it’s been 10 days of emptiness!!!

How I wish there could be somebody to just take a look how Hyun Joong is doing!!! And then report to his fans saying something like “KHJ is currently in Bahamas taking a grand holiday with Artmatic” at least I can imagine him there at the Bahamas enjoying the sun!!! But Hyun Joong is zero visibility, no where to be found!!!They said you only get to realize the importance of a person during his absence. This is the second time I felt this kind of emptiness. I can only listen to Hyun Joong’s music while writing and go over the video clips he had which I have watched over a dozen times, but every time I do so, the more I miss him!

A while ago I happen to watch Hyun Joong’s old video when he was still with SS501, when he was dying of laughter, he was literally on the floor laughing and it was so contagious, can’t help laugh with him!! He was laughing about a photo of their group, but their faces were replaced by another picture. This one, this is what I miss in him that you rarely see these days. Hyun Joong’s careless laughter! He was simply just a kid that time, now he’s a grown up man. I wrote an article about this, Missing Kid, watch out for it. Time fly so fast and so with his growth. The playful Hyun Joong had growth to a real man, now I’m starting to look for that playful kid in him.

How did you start to be like this? Celebrities come and go, but you don’t look for them because someone new is at your TV screen. And Yes, Hyun Joong actually mentioned this in one of his video interview back in 2007 but the video came out recently. He said something like “there will come a time Kim Hyun Joong will not be noticed, so when that happen I want to play music.” The way I interpret is like, when the time comes he fades away from the lime light he’ll go back to his guitar, the way he started in his high school days. Well, the video was taken 2007, this year is 2012 therefore he said that five years ago. On the contrary the higher he step on his ladder the brighter he shines, the more people notice Kim Hyun Joong.

Hyun Joong is very realistic, even he’s starting to reach out to the peak of his stardom, he knows he’s bound to go down someday. That’s life in showbiz, a simple logic would tell you, climbing up the ladder is not endless. Once you reach the top and there’s no step left for you to climb up, you tend to go down and find another ladder to climb up, that’s gonna be a new phase of life you’re facing.

Hyun Joong mentioned that, there’s always a new face coming up, new idol with brand new style with powerful performance. Well true enough, but then his fans grow up with him. I’m not trying to predict the future, and he’s right by saying nothing is forever, no matter how much you want to contradict. Hyun Joong may fade, but his music stays, so I don’t think he’ll be forgotten. Well history would tell, Frank Senatra died, but he left his music that until at present you can still hear it. Micheal Jackson the legendary king of pop, before he died, it took years before he decided to do his last concert, unfortunately he died just before the concert. His music stayed, his fans still loves him, because they grew up with him.

This can happen to Hyun Joong, he can be a legend, of course this depends on how long he wants to stay. In my opinion for as long as he keeps himself straight focus on his path, as no matter which route he takes he’s bound to be where he is ought to be. And that’s on top. Hyun Joong is a very smart guy and very realistic. He has a dream, but he’s realistic about his dream, and he knows how to materialize that dream. Smart guy he is, I bet you.

If I’ll be asked, what would you want Hyun Joong to do for you. I would say I want him to create more and more music. Why? Music doesn’t fade, in due time it may be no longer in trend, but you can still listen to it, right? So if I were you, get yourselves his first two albums if you still don’t have them. And for those songs not included in his album like, Love, Fortunate, Marry Me ect. have it downloaded and have it burn in CD. If in the future you can’t find those music at the internet at least you have the hard copy, you can still listen to Hyun Joong’s music. If he fades, that’s gonna be at the lime light alone, but Hyun Joong and his music will stay in your heart.

Gosh what am I talking about??? Oh my! Is this gonna be my life without Kim Hyun Joong??? Once you miss a person you tend to talk about what you miss about him, and start realizing how important he is in your daily life. Just like what the other fan said “Hyun Joong is my daily bread”. I won’t be surprise at all, because we all feel the same way. Oh come on….he’s just somewhere out there or maybe he’s actually at the Bahamas enjoying the sun!!!

I’ll be very honest to you, please don’t take it against me, I’ve mention in my other article that Hyun Joong deserves a break since he hadn’t taken a rest since June 2011. I think I’m having a second thought!!! I hope he’ll be back soon wherever he is….Hyun Joong ah…can you cut your holiday shorter?…….life is empty…without you….….. from your loving fans! Photography of the human subject has always been fascinating. In the hands of a photographer who knows how to record various human moods and the photographed who knows how to make love to the camera -the magic begins. But it does not end there-for the viewer,the one who gaze at them afterwards will decide if indeed the human essence has been captured. Editing softwares while widely used now so far can only touch the aesthetic part of the human form but not its essence.

The human emotions depicted in the ephemeral fleeting moods are no longer confined to the basic ones that we know. Its nuances can be subtle, can be loud, just a hint or a-borning, they can be obviously contrived ,spontaneous, unguarded,posed,ordered and rehearsed. If photographed at the spur of the moment ,or at the behest of somebody who has some intentions in mind can make a difference.

Thanks to his fans and Media, our star has his many moods filmed and recorded. Camera technology allows the recording of even his fleeting and ramdom human expressions while the photographer expert of his craft knows how to elicit the desired expressions, whether still or in action. On the other hand, many fans go beyond the face value by trying to read from the finished product clues, his inner thoughts and whatever else they think is there.

Kim Hyun Joong appears to be an ideal subject of photography. As a dancer -athlete his body is supple and pliant he can easily give the wanted poses . As an actor he is used to the camera,the lighting,the people involved in the production-in short he is not distracted for the mission for that day -whether it is to do commercial film, poster for his drama, music video, magazine covers, and others. His patience is endless, his efforts do not wane. He may close his eyes for a quick power nap or revive himself with his endless dancing or humming a tune, singing a song, looking at the test screen shots , hours just go by. When he is asked for reshoot no matter how frequent, he may dread it, but just the same go back to step one, because it is the professional in him to do that for a common aim for the best ever image.He wasn't awarded in 2011 the best commercial film model for nothing.He was also given for three consecutive years the Style Icon trophies.

Does Kim Hyun Joong know he is one of the most photographed among the Hallyu stars ? If he didn't his talent agency must have known it, because of prohibitions in camera being brought in exclusive public events. It is one of the attempts to manage his public image. Camera flashes also disturb both performer and the audience. But fans still are able to get beautiful, clear pictures. Their shots are eye catching for they were able to get him in his pensive mood, attentively listening, processing what he just heard, surprised, flushed, pleased,bored,sleepy ,spaced out, many times no nonsense.This listing is by no means complete and exhaustive. He has an almost zero angry looking face. Perhaps he has learned to control his emotions in public - he once said in an interview he seldom gets angry. The last time I saw him reigned in his emotions was during the last days of the SS501 together under DSP. Once I'd seen his picture with tightened facial muscles after a dispute in soccer. Almost all of Hyun Joong's commercials show him smiling and in light moods, while by contrast, Hangten was able to bring out his intensely grave manly moods in dramatic sepia colors. Hangten must have gambled as everybody wants to put Kim Hyun Joong and his sunshiny smiles on every space available be it on the walls of building,show window , sides of buses , glossy magazine covers,etc. But Hangten was proven right in its decision that they signed Hyun Joong for another year as their model.

There is of course a world of difference between the posed and guarded photography to that of unguarded ones . The latter has a complex nature in them though simple they appear to be.The milieu no matter how commonplace adds value compared to backdrops synthetically made. Because celebrities are high profile people, it is not unusual for fans as well as media to attempt to get their pictures anywhere they chance upon them. It is the uniqueness that counts where each photo become priceless.

Needless to say,as Kim Hyun Joong gets more photographed he becomes more recognizable as a result. His hotness is additionally fueled by the endless posting and re-posting of his photos past and present in social networking sites. When fans create fanarts out of these photos , they create another context ,perhaps even another universe whose central character is of course Hyun Joong.

His photographs of all types tell stories words cannot. The good photograph is said to stop a moment from slipping away. They also preserve a moment that has become part of someone 's memory -yours and mine. Many years from now, they will tell us something we might have forgotten. Those will bring smiles to our lips and fondness in our hearts. And before we know it we are back to where our love story began- with him.

Journalist: Which scene in the TV drama is the most impressive?
MM: The kiss in the rain scene because the kissing scenes earlier were just lightly touching whereas this scene is a real kiss but my stomach is making me feel unwell that day so that’s how the shooting was done. But later when I watch the replay it turned out to be so strong and affectionate, I was also taken aback (laugh). I was quite worried about the kiss because of my physical condition but then during the filming I really completely forgotten about not feeling well (laugh).

J: Which kiss in the TV drama is the most impressive?

HJ: The kiss in the rain, it was actually very cold on that day so I was a little worried that it will affect the filming but with Ms Jung So Min who acted as Ha Ni in the drama, acting with her had reached a very familiar stage, so acting that wasn’t a very big problem. (Emphasized) At the beginning there was some unfamiliarity but since there were so many scenes together so our understanding with each other got better and better!

J: Which subjects are you best at in your school days?

MM: Sports and Japanese. I have no problem with basic Japanese; I still watch original version of the Japanese TV drama and movies. That’s originally when I was thinking of going to Japan I would know some Japanese, at least I wouldn’t be starved to death (laugh).

J: Which are your favourite subjects in your school days?

HJ: Sociology and history. In the drama, BSJ is able to easily solve some very difficult mathematical problems, that’s just acting like as if I really know (laugh).

J: What else are you good at in real life?
HJ: I can cook, I can cook some very delicious food (emphasized). But because I live alone most of the time I get to eat out more. Only when I want to eat alone at home then I’d cook. I have cook beef with rice, other than that I can also cook pork chop rice. It was when I came out to live by myself then I started to cook, I would watch some cooking TV programmes and write it down. Till now I would still watch cooking programmes (laugh).

J: In the drama BSJ is a varied person, like he was very friendly to friends but very cold towards Ha Ni. In real life how are you like?

HJ: In real life I’m definitely not as cold as BSJ (laugh).

J: Then at times you would also tease or bully a little the people you like, you agree on this?

HJ: In the drama, BSJ bully and tease Ha Ni, this kind of feelings I can understand. When I was young I would also like to play mischievously with those that I like. I remember I used to take advantage of the one who sat next to me in class, I drew a line on the table and set the rule that if anything cross over the line will belong to me.

J: Are there any happy scenes that leave a more deep impression?

MM: It’s the last scene on the bed with BSJ teasing each other. That was a very deep impression scene, that scene seems like an impromptu one with Hyun Joong, it was done in an extremely tacit way, very delightful very happy (laugh).

J: I remember you seem to have said that you feel very lonely at the end of the shooting didn’t you?

MM: Yes, during the filming I was wearing the wedding ring, when suddenly the moment it has to be taken off I felt a little strange, an indescribable mood. When the TV drama has completed the filming I really had a lonely feeling, it was just like the feeling of a divorce (laugh)

J: So at that moment did you have the impulse of wanting to get married?

MM: Ha Ni got married when she was very young, also she lived a happily married life, at that moment I did think that if I get married will I also be very happy. When I want to get married I think I want to have 3 kids so I think of getting married at the age of 20 something would be just right (laugh).

By LazerKim: Kim Hyun Joong must be in a grand holiday these past days after series of activities, well the guy deserves it, since he hadn’t taken a rest since June 2011. And while he’s doing so, I’m taking advantage of this period to write articles about the people connected to Hyun Joong. Recently I’ve posted articles about Fan Networks and individual fans experience My Fan and I. If you haven’t read it, check it out. This time it’s still gonna be about fans.

I’m thankful to Hyunnies Pexer’s Blog and Kathy’s Bench for helping me in posting my article Fan Networks which is meant to address Hyun Joong’s three fan clubs, since they have a large scale of readers. And I’m happy I was able to reach out for the members through them. Thanks so much.

I believe Hyun Joong and his fans are one, they are like partners, like couple, like siblings, like best friends, do you agree with me?? Isn’t it we sing with Hyun Joong, we dance with Hyun Joong, we do laugh with him, we do cry with him, we share with his hard work on different ways but with the same objectives, we literally breath with him while he performs and we triumph with him on his chain of success. This is how I see Hyun Joong and his fans, such a unique connection. And I bet you it is such a contagious connection!!

Every time Hyun Joong receives an award, there were at least ten important individuals and groups that he always mentioned. Bae Yong Joong, KeyEast, Steven Lee, Lyle Beniga, Artmatics, Henecia, KHJPerfect, Triple S, fans and Noona. Hyun Joong never failed to thank these people whom he worked with. They said, when you received blessings, you have to give it back or turn on to the two magic words “Thank You” so that more blessings will come to you. I acknowledge these people and write about them as the closest people connected with Hyun Joong.

Somebody said all credits should be given to Hyun Joong and that KeyEast should be thankful to Hyun Joong. I’ll leave that matter for a while. As for me I just echoed what Hyun Joong keep mentioning every time he receives the award. I don’t think Hyun Joong is selfish, in fact he’s giving those trophies to his fans for working hard at the internet during the time voting polls were being conducted. I think everyone shared the hard work with him, and that includes the people we do not see who’s working behind Hyun Joong.

How can Hyun joong sing if he doesn’t have a song to sing, he needs a music composer. How can he dance if he doesn’t have a dance routine, he needs a choreographer. How can he perform on stage without costume, he needs s stylist designer. How can he perform without a stage and venue, he needs a sponsor. All of these were being provided by KeyEast. In this business there’s no such thing as “I owe you” kind a thing. Both Hyun Joong and KeyEast work hand in hand and both benefited from their hard work. As an artist Hyun Joong knows this very well. I have written several articles regarding KeyEast, what I have written is reality in terms of business. In showbiz it’s always been the production staffs who are given the last appreciation, that’s why I kept mentioning them in my previous articles.

If there are people behind Hyun Joong, there are also people in front of him, his inspiration and that is you, KHJ fans. In my recent article Fan Network, you have been identified and recognize your role during the time Hyun Joong needed numbers. But I failed to mention a group of individuals who are silently supporting Hyun Joong.

I found out that almost half of the Japanese fans who were there at the concert were Bae Yong Joon fans. I know that many if not all have been supporting Hyun Joong. I have a friend who is inactive fan who belongs to BYJ fan club and they support Hyun Joong. For me it’s a good news. In reality what Hyun Joong needs is numbers. I know many out there from BYJ fans are silently supporting Hyun Joong. Let’s embrace them and keep up the strength, the more the merrier. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

In one interview with Hyun Joong, he mentioned that it’s his dream to perform at Tokyo Dome. Dream came true he was able to do so with BYJ when Hyun Joong sang at smile project, BYJ’s charity fond raising. And after he performed, Hyun Joong mentioned again that he dream to come back to Tokyo Dome to perform a concert. BYJ sets history as he was able to gather his fans at Tokyo Dome full packed. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to combine both fans and gather them at Tokyo Dome? That must be exciting!!

I deliberately wrote several articles about Hyun Joong’s connection with his boss Bae Yong Joon, with hopes I would be able to reach out for them and draw attention. At the same time I was hoping Hyun Joong would be able to fill up the gap during this period of Bae Yong Joon’s absence. Actually he’s just around staying behind the scene while Hyun Joong was on exposure. I have written a bunch of articles about Hyun Joong, with hopes he would be able to gain new fans through knowing who he is. After watching him perform on stage and you are given the chance to read about Hyun Joong, just once, it will be followed by another chance to read about him, and another, until you wanted to know more about him.

I recognize the feeling because I’ve been there. Until I’ve run out of reading materials about him because I have read everything I ought to know about Hyun Joong as a fan. I decided to write for those who are experiencing where I’ve been, so as you have something to read and know the man better. And it’s worth it, because the more you know him, the more you’ll like him. Writing about him seems endless because there are lots more interesting about Hyun Joong. Keep reading about him, knowing Hyun Joong is worth your time, you got nothing to lose, on the contrary, reading about him can lighten up your daily stress. In knowing Hyun Joong, it’s either you’ll laugh or be touched, that’s how I felt while researching about the guy. He’s just so amazing.

I read a comment from an international fan, she said, “it’s nice, people from different nations to unite in one common ground which is Kim Hyun Joong.” There you go, thanks to you I have an article title!! But different intention, as I call on BYJ fans to join in with KHJ fans and unite as one. It’s true that Hyun Joong’s fans are scattered on different parts of the world, and I’m hoping Hyun Joong’s story would reach them.

I don’t know how I’m gonna describe the feeling, but come to think of it, Hyun Joong is a Korean who can not speak and understand English as an international language. But he has a bigger chunk of international fans than his Korean fans. When I was just starting to research on him, honestly, I felt frustrated specially in watching his video clips that doesn’t have English sub titles. And during that time I was starting to write, I felt the same frustration because sometimes I was hoping he would be able to read it, and to let him know how much we support him.

Specially that time he read his letter to his fans in June 7, 2011, I want to let him know that he doesn’t need to be scared facing his destiny by himself, because we are all here beside him. It felt frustrating that we couldn’t tell him, “kiddo everything is gonna be alright.” But despite of the barriers, his fans are still drawn to him and even expanding in numbers. I have gone use to this language barrier, I told myself a lot of times, it’s better to read a person’s eyes and body movements to interpret their true feelings.

As I watched his first Japan tour in November last year, there was this Q & A portion, that was his chance to interact with his fans as he always wanted to. I think that was in Osaka, the camera was focused on his face. He looked tired and as if I can feel his frustration that he wanted to interact with his Japanese fans spontaneously without a translator. He just kept looking at his fans as his eyes lingering around the gallery, and honestly I felt teary eyes and I wanted to go up there and tell him, “it’s alright, your Japanese fans understand you even you don’t say anything, because they feel you.”

But I admired him, that no matter what, he still manage to give them a big bunch of good laughter!! It was his first concert as solo, so you can understand how it was. Nevertheless, as he came back in Feb.5 and hosted his first concert in 2012, Oh I saw a different glow in his eyes and his smiles, he looks very happy that time, and it was really a great show. And then he tried to speak Japanese which was great!

I was trying to visualized like, in a room Hyun joong being there, and his international fans, God knows how many different nationals there are, granting none of them can not speak English same as Hyun Joong. They may not understand each other but they all have the same purpose to be in that room. No one would speak because no one can understand language, as Hyun Joong stand in front of his international fans as he sings that can not be understood, but the fans sings with him, as he dance they followed him, the fans smiled at each other and cheering for Hyun Joong in different languages. As soon as Hyun Joong stops to sing, what everyone can hear is his breathing, as the fans breath with him. There’s only one thing common in that room including Hyun Joong, and that is LOVE.

By LazerKim: Kim Hyun Joong’s popularity continues to snowball until at this time that he’s in silent mode!! Meaning he’s resting from exposure after his successful trip in Japan. In my other articles particularly Secret to Success, I have mentioned that the 4th factor within Hyun Joong’s success is his fan network. And who are these people? Well, most of them are the once making noise at the internet to vote for Kim Hyun Joong!!! Oh many thanks to their noise I honestly enjoyed, that brought Hyun Joong up there at MAMA, that I will never forget! Other than the fact that Hyun Joong truly deserves all the awards he had received in 2011. He’s actually more than deserving than any other artists, that I’m very proud for being his fan.

At this point around, I think it’s time to name names. In May 2011 Kim Hyun Joong had officially name his first Fan club as solo singer, in preparation to his come back stage in June 2011. He named them Henecia which is a combination of H and the latin benecia which means blessed. Hyun Joong made Henecia as his official fan club and they support only one Kim Hyun Joong. And there’s the Triple S which is a fan club of SS501, and still remain to be loyal to the five members individually. And quite recently I found another fan club the Kim Hyun Joong Perfect. Although honestly, I’m not so familiar with the fan club and still on the process of researching about the different groups. But I believe these three fan clubs have different international home base.

Anyway, my objective in writing this article about the fan club of Hyun Joong is for the new fans to recognize the different fan clubs that Hyun Joong has. If there may be others fan clubs that I did not mention, please forgive me. So far these three groups Henecia, Triple S and KHJ Perfect were the once I normally see from banners every time Hyun Joong is on event exposure and a bit familiar with. Hyun Joong never fail to mention them every time he has a chance. I remember in one of his interviews, Hyun Joong was asked, what is the most touching for you about your fans? Hyun Joong replied “Some of my fans would apologize to me if I don’t make it to the top, and I would tell them it’s alright, it’s not your fault.”

As I always say, I’m a new fan of Hyun Joong, I don’t belong to any fan club, but I felt a pinch in my heart when Hyun Joong was relating this. And as time flies, the more I could see Hyun Joong’s fans affection to him. Every time Hyun Joong is at the airport, there’s always a bunch fans who would just hand him letters and presents, since it’s the airport which is the best chance for any fan to approach him. And I find them really thoughtful. There’s always a connection between Hyun Joong and his fans that I couldn’t explain, or maybe his natural thoughtfulness too that made them drawn to him. Another thing I admire from Hyun Joong is that, he doesn’t single out any of the groups or individual. He embraces his fans in general.

During the time MAMA conducted a voting poll, this was when I witness a strong unity among the fans either in a group or individual. I could feel how busy Hyun Joong’s fans were through the internet, the movements at twitter was rather fast and updates kept coming in everything was about MAMA. I’m sure everyone of them has a story to tell during that time, since I was just an observer at the net. I could feel an entire unity among the fans and as Hyun Joong has the strong determination to solidify his status as a solo singer, is just the same with his fans having a collective determination for Hyun Joong to be awarded as Best Male Artist.

I can not forget that, every time an entry of another contender below Hyun Joong’s rank would go up even just for a few votes, I could feel the commotion among the fans!! Gosh I was just right here in front of my monitor observing, but honestly I got carried away by the net movements!! It’s just something that made Hyun Joong proved his strong hold over his fans, is just so remarkable.

And when finally Hyun Joong made it, The Best Solo Male Artist, can’t help to get teary eyes and I felt how his fans worked so hard to bring him up to the best award he could get. It was indeed a touching moment for me not only with the award and recognition that Hyun Joong received, but also the unity of his fans was tremendous. And that was why I included this particular event in my article Memory 2011 as one of the unforgettable about Hyun Joong. It was a very memorable year for any fan of Kim Hyun Joong. Everyone was excited to watch the ceremony which was held in Singapore, and of course every fan was truly proud seeing Hyun Joong received the award and of course his spectacular performance of Lucky Guy had rocked the venue as everyone enjoyed the show.

And then came Yahoo Asia Buzz in December 2011, Hyun Joong took home four trophies for Best Male Artist. The same thing transpired, voting polls were opened prior to the event, twitter was quite busy again. And then the first time I tried voting, I found that Yahoo Buzz were all written in Chinese character and since it was my first time to vote, the voting system was not as easy and friendly as voting at MAMA. I honestly got irritated because I wanted to vote, then one fan from twitter was kind enough to help me out. I was truly thankful to her I was able to cast my vote!!

For some reasons I find Hyun Joong’s fans to be accommodating and matured in dealing with Hyun Joong’s critics, which I find a lot of them at Youtube and Dramabeans!! Aigoo!!! I appreciate Hyun Joong’s fans for their efforts of getting out of their way in actively posting reliable updates. I’m pertaining to Hyunnies Pexer’s Blog and Kathy’s Bench, they are my morning coffee mates!! Because this is where I get updates about Hyun Joong, and write my thoughts about the updates. Writing about Hyun Joong is my everyday joy of looking forward on just about anything.

As Hyun Joong’s fans continue to snowball, I cross my fingers that he’ll be nominated again this year for MAMA, Yahoo and whatever Awards there may be, then it will be an exciting event again, but this time his fan network would be bigger. Isn’t that exciting, the more the merrier!!! It will be another history on Hyun Joong’s career life having his fans at his side all the time. If Hyun Joong is so contagious, I bet you, and so with his fans!!! They are as contagious as the germ Hyun Joong had in Japan!!

Kim Hyun Joong create memories, that every single fan can keep in their hearts. As he always say “I’ll work hard to keep your interest”……How can you forget a guy like him?? Well, he’s simply himself…………..Kim Hyun Joong. This is LazerKim writing, thanks.
