7월 21일 방송된 KBS 2TV '연예가중계'에서는 김현중 일본 단독콘서트 현장이 공개됐다.
얼마전 일본 사이타마 현에는 아주 많은 수의 팬들이 김현중을 보기 위해 모였다. 일본 팬들은 김현중 이름이 새겨진 피켓을 들고 열띤 응원을 선보였다.
이에 대해 김현중은 "예상외로 앨범 판매량이 좋아서 앨범 구입한 분들에게 선물을 드린다는 느낌으로 이번 콘서트를 열게 됐다"고 했다.
또 팬들에 대해 그는 "10대 팬들도 있지만 누나가 더 많은 것 같다. 칠순을 넘긴 할머니께서 야광봉을 들고 멀리서 찾아오신 것을 보고 진짜 열심히 해야겠다고 생각했다"고 말했다.
특히 김현중은 콘서트 당일 감기몸살로 몸이 좋지 않았지만 끝내 무대에 오르며 링거투혼을 펼쳐 의미를 더했다.
