Kim Hyun Joong singer, dancer, actor had already created a chain of success for he has been attaining since he performed his come back stage to debut his first mini album Breakdown as solo artist in June 2011, which made it to the top rank in the international Billboard. Followed by his second album Lucky Guy in October of the same year with the same success.
Recently Hyun Joong debuted his album Japanese version of Kiss Kiss and Lucky Guy which also made it to rank second in the Oricon Music Daily chart which made history, as the first foreign artist who had ever sold more than 70,000 copies on its debut. Hyun Joong’s album had sold more than 100,000 copies on his first week and had maintained his rank No.2 at the Oricom Daily Music Chart.
Hyun Joong’s success is just so overwhelming, as he mentioned in his recent interview, that he wasn’t expecting this much success! The luckiest Lucky guy who ever ventured as soloist artist as first timer is on his way to be a top star, or apparently it seems he’s already there! The media in Japan has been at his tail since his arrival and still on the go everywhere Hyun Joong is. He simply rock Japan being the most popular Korean Artist in the present time.
From midyear of 2011 as he debuted his first album Breakdown, everyone was taken by his big surprise to be out there like a new star out of nowhere in a total image transformation. Hyun Joong’s album had always been seen on top rank in any music count down. Followed by his second album Lucky Guy which gained the same recognition. By the end of the year 2011, Hyun Joong harvested the fruits of his hard labor and took home eight trophies as Best Solo Male Artist from prestigious music awards, a significant evidence enough to solidify his new status as solo artist.
By the beginning of the year 2012, Hyun Joong held his first fan meeting in Seoul, as a solo artist attended by some 6,000 fans and performed a memorable successful show. Hyun Joong flew to Japan on Lunar New Year’s day, the day after his fan meeting, without being aware that another success was waiting for him in Japan, as he debuted his Japanese album with a tremendous unexpected success.
As I monitored Hyun Joong’s activities last year, it seems that anything he holds in his hand, anything he works on, turned to success. And I would say, even the simple Christmas present he gave to his fans on December 15 last year, if you remember the digital single Marry Me which Hyun Joong meant to give his fans also rank top no.1! The music was not meant for sale nor for any competition, but Hyun Joong’s fans showed their appreciation to his Christmas present by pushing the music to the top no.1 rank in several on line real time music chart such as Bugs, Mnet, and Soribada.
Apparently the chain of success did not end from there, because Hyun Joong received the last trophy from 2011 as he was awarded recently, by All Kpop Award for the Best Solo Male Artist for 2011. Hyun Joong is currently in Japan promoting his Japanese album and had been busy with TV appearances and fan autograph signing schedules.
There’s another thing that caught my attention in the whole Kim Hyun Joong scenario. One of Hyun Joong’s fans who came all the way to Seoul Korea to attend Hyun Joong’s fan meeting and had taken photos of different Kim Hyun Joong merchandise for sale that can be found at malls in Seoul.
The merchandise was said to be with good quality goods such as cellphone casing, note pads, key chains, bags ect. These merchandise has Hyun Joong’s picture or the Uzoosin, as we all know it’s Hyun Joong signature character, and it was said that these merchandise were very salable. Not to mention other original merchandise being sold by KeyEast during Hyun Joong’s fan meeting, like the Uzoosin luminous stick and others. I think the popularity of Kim Hyun Joong lead to other sort of business which apparently showed success in sales too!!
Kim Hyun Joong made an excellent start of the year 2012, I’m pretty excited to watch over him further as to what is in store for everyone coming from Hyun Joong. Whatever it may be, monitoring his every activity and talking about it, brings me something to smile about and happily proud to follow him as Hyun Joong gather his chain of success…
